1. Information We Collect

When you use Fluency Pro, we collect:

• Account Information: Email address and display name (via Google Sign-In)
• Profile Information: Phone number (required at onboarding), plus optionally age range, avatar, mother tongue, English level and learning goals — provided by you during onboarding or in settings
• Learning Data: Your practice sessions, scores, streaks, progress statistics, and the text of your practice conversations and battle messages (used for scoring and feedback)
• Purchase Information: Subscription plan, order identifiers and purchase verification data when you buy a Pro plan through Google Play Billing
• Device Information: Device type (mobile/desktop) and push notification tokens, for app optimization and reminders
• Usage Analytics: Feature usage to improve the app experience

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Track your learning progress and maintain streaks
• Generate personalized PDF Learning Packs
• Enable real-time battles with other users
• Improve app features based on usage patterns

3. Third-Party Services

Fluency Pro uses the following trusted services to operate. Each processes only the data needed for its purpose, under its own privacy policy and security measures:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Hosting, Cloud Messaging): processes your account identity, profile and learning data to run the app, and your device push token to deliver reminders you enable.
• Google AI (Gemini via Vertex AI): processes the text of your practice conversations and battle messages to generate AI responses, scores and feedback. This content is processed to provide the service, subject to Google Cloud's data processing terms.
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: processes text you choose to hear aloud, to generate audio playback.
• Google Play Billing: processes your subscription purchases. Payment details are handled by Google Play; we receive only order identifiers and purchase verification data.

4. Data Security

We protect your data using:

• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transfers
• Firebase security rules to prevent unauthorized access
• Google Cloud infrastructure with enterprise-grade security

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you use the app. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — from Settings > Privacy & Account > Delete My Account inside the app, or by following the steps on our dedicated page:

When your deletion request is completed, we delete your account profile, learning data (sessions, scores, streaks, chat history), device tokens, and your Firebase login identity.

What may be kept, and why:

• Anonymized purchase records (order identifiers, plan and amounts with your user ID removed) — kept only as long as needed for financial record-keeping. Your Play purchase token is always deleted.
• Operational logs — kept for a limited period for security and fraud-prevention, then deleted automatically.

Retained data is restricted, never linked back to you, and never used to re-enable account access.

6. Children's Privacy

Fluency Pro is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
